Ta Da! I officially have a child in school. He was so excited this morning he got all dressed with his backpack on about an hour before he had to leave. I had all these things I wanted to do and I accomplished some of them but I also messed up quite a bit. First, the first day of school photo:
You can see how excited he is to be going. I had planned to walk him there but once we got about halfway I realized I had forgotten his nametag that we were supposed to bring. So we sprinted home, I couldn't find it, and then we had to drive to school so he wouldn't be late. Aren't I just doing great?
Here is he coming out at the end of the day with his class. He is lucky enough to walk home with his cousin, but I wanted to pick him up on his first day but of course he was disappointed about that. Oh well, maybe I won't screw up Dayton's first day so badly.

So cute! Isn't it crazy how your whole world changes when they start school? It only gets busier from here on out.
What fun! I totally remember my first day of school, I always took a flower as big as my head to school for my teacher. He is handsome!
Way to go Duncan!! Jaimee- you did just fine. He made it and that is all that matters. That and that he had a good time and it sure looks like he did.
What a cute kindergarten boy! And a cute mom. I am so glad that Duncan had a great first day. I love how boys are so 'no big deal' about this huge rite of passage.
By the way, we are way too young to have kids in school, but oh well.
