Mickey Mania

Tucker absolutely loves Mickey. His favorite show to watch is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney channel and he gets excited anytime he sees a Mickey head anywhere. So it was a pretty easy decision what kind of birthday party to do for him. First we had everyone over for a joint Father's Day/birthday barbecue. Delicious! Then it was time to get down to business.

He was so funny when I sat him down by his presents. I wanted to get a good picture of him before he tore into them so I was hurrying b/c I didn't think he would last long. But he didn't seem to have any idea that there was anything good inside all the bags. He just sat there and got up a few times to come over to me, but he was perfectly happy to sit back down right in his spot. His cousin had to finally help open the first bag so he could see that there was good stuff in there!

He was pretty happy with his giant Mickey. Garage sale - 50 cents! Can't beat that. We gave him a good washing first of course. He also got a super fun wiggly giggly crazy ball from my brother. I had to ban Duncan and Dayton from using it though...too much of a good thing.

But hands down his favorite present was the stroller and baby from my mom. Apparently since we are having a girl it is ok for him to practice with a girl baby. I still think I will go get some old boy stuff out of the basement though.

Jeff got him to take a huge bite out of the cake after we sang to him. Of course Dayton helped blow out the candles. What else are big brothers for?

He was one happy boy after he made a gigantic mess of the cake. Yum!

how fun!! you do such a great job with the theme birthday parties!! I love the baby doll idea, that will be so good for him. Great deal on the huge Mickey, garage sales are the best for that!!

So cute! I have always been a big Mickey fan!
You will LOVE having a girl after all those boys! I have loved dressing Lucy up and she has Cary wrapped around her little finger!

Here is the link to the twirly skirts tutorial. http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/photos/twirly_skirt/index.html

They are so easy. Now don't let them become too popular out there.:) Then my girls won't have "special" skirts:) Oh, I am 98% sure i AM GOING to the HS reunion.
