First Day of School

Wow, first grade! Duncan had conflicting feelings about going back to school. He was way excited to get all of his supplies and to get things ready, but he wasn't so thrilled about getting up early and being there all day long. I am half excited, half worried about how much he is going to change being around a bunch of older kids at recess now.

Here's Mr. Sunshine, bright and early at 7:00 this morning. He normally sleeps until 8 or 9.

I made him ABC pancakes again, same as last year. He told me that I should have done math pancakes since he knows all that other stuff.

Being goofy as we are running out of time.


Getting this kid to smile for a picture is impossible. He is excited to find out what's in the treasure chest on his little desk though.

It will be a big adjustment having him gone all day - I am missing him already! Tucker kept asking where he was all morning. Plus in a couple of weeks Dayton starts preschool. That will really be strange.
