So beyond needing a new sleeping solution to put all three boys in one room, we also needed a clothes solution. Up until now Duncan's stuff has been in a small dresser and Dayton's has been in tupperwares that we stored under the beds. But the triple bunks don't have any room underneath, plus we had to add Tucker's stuff. So we went to IKEA to find a dresser that would fit everything.
While we were thinking about which one would be the best option, Jeff got a crazy idea. Two years ago Jeff built a big toy shelf for the boys for my Christmas present. My sister-in-law had done it in their toy room and I wanted one too so that's what I asked for. We used the IKEA buckets but built our own shelving since theirs was pretty pricey.
Anyways, Jeff has the idea to build another set for their clothes instead of using a dresser. He is super handy and just altered the toy room design a little bit so fit their room better. We ended up getting more space than we would have with a dresser, plus a bunch of shelf space on top. It cost just a tiny bit more than the dresser would have, but was well worth it with the increased storage. I have to say I was surprised that Jeff came up with this. He has not been thrilled with all the projects I have been piling on him lately (we still have to paint the nursery), but this one was all his fault. I just would have bought the dresser and been done with it, but I'm definitely glad he had a better idea. He really did a great job and the boys love it!

okay, I totally love this idea and I need to borrow Jeff for like 2 days so he could do a few of these projects for us!! Love it!! I am saving this idea in my head!!
I love it. It is so great for storing the big bins full of clothes that the kids outgrow. I think I might have to use this idea.
Wow! That turned out great!!
