Visit to the Farm

There is this place not to far from us where they have sort of a miniature farm for kids to go to that's pretty fun. They have all sorts of fun things to do and it's all pretty much a free for all. They can just run and go all over the place. Plus, it was pretty cheap. Always a plus. My mom and I took my kids, plus my niece Grace...we always bring her along on our outings since she's right in the middle of my kids, age-wise.

The kids' favorite thing there was this giant slide that really was just a tarp placed on top of a giant dirt hill. It really was pretty steep and totally bumpy, but they loved it. Duncan was so nice and took Ellie on it over and over again. She didn't want to do anything else...I don't know if you can see well enough on this pic, but she is grinning like crazy.

The other favorite part for the kids was a little area where they had all kinds of baby animals just sitting around for the kids to hold. Bunnies, goats, and lambs, unless I'm forgetting someone. Duncan really loved the baby bunnies - he kept this guy right with him most of the time.

Ellie wasn't quite sure what to make of them.

Poor Tucker. A goat pooped on his pant leg and shoe, and he walked like this the rest of the time we were there. He was very distressed about it.

Baby goats are awesome. Dayton loved them. I was really surprised at how they just let all the kids pretty much do whatever they wanted in the little animal pen. There weren't any workers there or anything...just parents. I sure hope these animals get some yummy treats for putting up with all of the kids that basically maul them daily.

The big slide again...I finally got a picture with everyone sliding down together, minus Ellie. They seriously must have gone down this thing 50 times while we were there. They really had a fun time and I think we'll definitely go again next year.

Where's this farm? Sounds like fun! I'd love to take Keaton sometime.
