Meeting the Siblings

Charlie was a big hit with the rest of the kids when they came to see him last night. My parents brought everyone up and they were all super excited to see him. When Ellie was born the whole swine flu epidemic was in full swing and the hospital wouldn't let any kids visit, so it was nice to be able to have them come see him right away this time.

Here's when they first came in...the nurse was trying to talk to me about some papers so I didn't get good pics at the beginning, but at least I got this one. Tucker and Ellie especially looked so excited but I missed getting that picture, darn it.

Ellie kept asking to hold 'the baby', so that's good...we're not sure how she's going to adjust. Is it just me or does she look like she's got some evil plans in mind for Charlie?

First official shot as a new 7 person family. This is actually the first time I have remembered to take a picture of all of us at the hospital.

Dayton liked him, but once he got to hold him once he was much more interested in playing Jeff's ipod for the rest of the visit.

Tucker was pretty excited at the thought of having a little brother. He wanted several turns at holding him.

But Duncan wins the award for most enthused sibling. He wanted to hold him again and again and didn't want to leave when it was time. He kept asking for just one more time. A couple of days ago I told them all that we were so glad they were excited for Charlie to get here and Duncan said "Why wouldn't we be excited? It's another kid!" I guess there's nothing better in his view. It was nice to hear since as the oldest he gets tasked with helping out quite a bit. I guess he doesn't mind.
