Then came sitting. This is my favorite skill for a baby to learn. I love being able to just plop them down wherever without worrying about if it's comfy enough for them to lay down. The downside is lots of bonked heads while they are still getting good at it.
Then he started pulling himself up on things. His favorite place to play is Ellie's room. Her little bed is the perfect height for him. (Sadly, since Charlie has no room of his own most of the cute pics of him have extremely girly backgrounds) We spend lots of time in Ellie's room - he loves her little people sets and her big bead necklaces. He also loves to pull himself up on the laundry basket in my room, which unfortunately results in him getting buried by piles of laundry.
The real kicker is when he started to climb up the stairs. It didn't take him long to figure this one out. One day he put his hands on the first step and looked up and the next he made it all the way to the top. Punk. I'm not ready for this one. We have a gate across the stairs that go down from the kitchen but nothing on the ones that go up. Which means that I have to keep a way closer eye on him when we are on that level. Which is all the time.
My little cutie is definitely growing up!
